New TV show starts tonight!

A new TV show starts tonight. It is called Bahamian Lobster Pirates and is on the Sportsman Channel. Starts at 8:30. The show's
focus is on how the Bahamians fish for lobster. Their method is very different from the way Maine lobster's are caught and very
different from the way we are allowed to catch (Florida lobster) the same lobster they catch.

Some of the boats the show features are out of Spanish Wells, Bahamas. We know some of the fishermen from there that are on the show. One in particular is Crazy Roy, he actually had shark bite his whole head and lived to tell about it. He still fishes for lobster and when we are on the island, we see him flying around on his golf cart.
(Most everyone gets around the island on a golf cart)

Ha! Been to Spanish Wells and yes, those guys are lobster fishing maniacs! The men go to sea for months 'farming' the lobsters under manmade 'reefs', most guys own their own homes from very young, they do so well.
A lot of the original settlers there came on down from Bermuda ...that was WAAAyy back, the Elutheran Adventurers.
We have friends there, Perrys.
MInd you, now I think about it, its been 25yrs since we were there...wonder how things have changed. VERY small island!

Bermy, I bet it hasn't changed much at all. When we go, it is like going back in time! One thing has changed though, it is not dry island any more. A guy on 15th street sells booze out of his house.

Ha, the whole island were Bretheren christians back when we were there, we went to the pastor's family summer camp, pulled a fishpot on the way, went swimming, BBQ on the beach on a little island, awesome. Bit weird seeing a pastor in a pair of speedos though, dark glasses please.
