Wife made a banana cake the other day with cream cheese frosting.


The bananas were going bad and we needed to use up the cream cheese.


It was weird at first but we all like it now. We will save you a piece.

The polytunnel is awash with ripe eggplants right now, so that is what i have for dinner.
Grilled, as Baba ganoush and today I'll make a large batch of Ratatouille, since we have family visiting.

I got to keep on top of them, or they'll conquer the world, eventually.
They are already starting to look sideways at Sudetenland and Poland.

Here, it was ahi steaks flashed for a minute or two per side in the frying pan with a homemade teriyaki sauce; quick high heat stir fried home garden fresh zucchini, jalapena, sweet red peppers, onion and garlic.

Side salad of cukes, sweet reds, mushroom, home garden fresh sugar snap peas, avocado, romaine.

Not bad.

The gins and tonic with loads of fresh lime during prep were a bonus .

Nearly 100 degrees here this afternoon. Cook quick, drink cold...life is good .

Had steak fajitas tonight. Leftover steak from Sunday night repurposed to another great meal.
