more mini notches

If we stick to that definition, I double cut just about everything.
Easier than carrying an overlong bar around, which IMO is pretty near useless for limbing hardwoods anyway.

( Not often you see a vegetarian flogging a dead horse, is it?)

... this may sound dumb , but last time I was in Santa Cruz I stopped in the saw shop just to look at all those new long bars lined up for sale .... bigger than I ever dream of owning or running , I'm sure the East Coast dealers would be more than happy to order you one but they NEVER stock such bars regular ... most choppers in the woods here run 20 inch....

Truth be known you seldom need a long bar in most parts of the east . Fact is that bar in my avatar has maybe been used 5-6 times at the most since I got it . At the moment it's mounted on a Mac 125 that Tom thought he might need for a big oak but it was hollow and an 066 with a 36" got it .

it isn't the length of the bar, rather the size of the notch and the action of the plunge ;)

And cookies... Don't forget about the cookies... DSC_0110.JPG

That 60 inch bar comes out to work very seldom, even right here in big tree country. I avoid it if I can :).

But there are times...;)
