chip box project

I was also thinking on the inside, but if you wanted signs, just put the decals on the painted face of the steel insert.

Why not sandwich it with steel plate on both sides? Just seems like it would look like a more finished job.... but then there's the weight....

I was looking at more chip capacity with the plate on the outside:P

Two thin skins would be ideal. Weight should not be much of an issue.

Chips get wedged in the crevices if the skin is on the outside. It becomes a big hassle with crud getting stuck and will also rust out faster. And the 1" isn't going to make a whole heck of a lot of difference in capacity. Unless you're packing the chips in the truck by hand, one at a time. ;)

Jeaz I leave for a few hours, and you guys went from talking about chip box doors to looking at rear ends. Back to the normal thread please!

Weebles wobble but they don't fall down...

:P

Brendon, ya gonna skin that door or go with stretch mesh?

I welded the mesh on last night. Love the new gate.

Chip box is in production this week finally too.
