Haha... Mick, I would love to take some credit for the cleanup... But I can't.

I was well outta there by that time. I left site about 2. They stayed on to finish instead of going back for a couple of hours tomorrow.

Thanks Gary, blue skies make everything look so much nicer.

Butch, I'll leave the stump grinding to someone else... Dusty, dirty job that it is!

Haha... I usually stay till the bitter end. I actually quite like raking up etc... But not as much as a "thank you and get yourself home".

Besides the job was 40 mins from my house, it was less than 5 from his gaff.

Jed you're right about the spur video its highly suspicious and its not a typical situation at all with such an open structure and broad limbs. I would believe they could be more comfortable but I can already see the possible downsides piling up.

some really great pics going on in the house

I would say that the treehouse has got the best Arbo's around the globe!

Yeah... I salute the guy for trying to make a new innovation, but sometimes yer just reinventing the wheel. Might be a reason that, "spurs have remained basically unchanged for over 100 years."

Rich: It's funny that Gary thought that the first shot was the best... mine was the last, even though the image was of low quality. It was of all of those very pretty low-white stumps with the "clear-up," that Mick so admired. It's just really beautiful in a weird way, ya know??

So, speaking of low-quality flip-phone images... I just wanted you guys to see one last run of pics of the firewood we ended up leaving this poor guy. We had one more pile in addition to this, which was about a third the size of the one pictured, but I don't know what happend to the pics. We estimated it to be between 13 and 15 cord of wood. Nine total stumps Edwin has to grind next week... two of which I included here. The saws are a 660 w/32" bar and a 440 w/28".

Bloody rock star contact climbers! Couldn't lower themselves to pick up a rake.

It's not a matter of "lowering yourself."

Do you want to pay me 50 to 100 bucks an hour to rake?

If so, lemme get my visa shit lined up!

You wouldn't believe how well I can rake! :)

Good day all, been a bit since posting :(
A few weeks in the New England area for family reunions and now home and back at it.

Hope the fodder brings some enjoyment!

I find myself " pushing" those big pieces a lot and I get hollered at by one of the guys. I tell him I'm not pushing, I'm feeling to see if it comes off clean. I know I can't really influence the piece but in a bad situation my push might help the piece influence my body out of the way.

Great pics Joel
