That green chipper I first posted about on treetrader.com (1290xp has less than 400 hours) is a sweet deal. I already spoke with the owner as I was looking at buying another chipper and he seemed willing to negotiate, I bet you could pick it up for 22,000 cash. That would be a killer machine, has the hydraulic yoke feature on it as well.

I don't know the market on your model Brendon but you should ask top dollar. That's a clean well maintained unit. Suprise suprise. Lol.

Remember you can always come down but it's a lot harder to raise the price.

If you can I'd keep it as a back up or for the right jobs. My 250xp left me stranded last year and now a beater Vermeer keeps it company in the parking lot just in case I need it. How much down time would it have to save you before its not worth selling? Also factor in the taxes if its been written down in your books. Not sure if your system is that similar or different to ours but up here there's tax implications if you sell something for more than its book value. Conversely if the book value(I mean your books) is high than its still a good write off for you too.

I'd keep it man, there have been several jobs I would have liked to had 2 chippers on! And then the times when the chipper goes down it would be nice to pull the other one out and finish up.

Hmm.

I need two chippers like a need a new bigger one.

I just think having a big chipper can make a guy smile.

I blame this all on harlan. Started helping him, now i have a rear mount, need a bigger chipper to keep up with the bucket, i kinda want a skidder for winter logging, whats next. Oh, ashly wants a ring. Bleh, chipper is more handy me thinks.

If she's the one get the ring. I'm old fashioned that way. I spoil my girl in part to make certain no one else is.

Ring. Get your priorities right ;)

Mind you I didn't spend a huge amount on my wifes ring, but I did have it hand made specially for her.
