The Official Work Pictures Thread

Did a bit of boating today to scout out a good location for installing a Motus tower on a nearby island. Found a decent location for the installation which we'll do tomorrow.

A couple of pictures and a short video of the Stellar sea lions that are gathered for the hooligan run.

Finished the Motus antennae install yesterday. All went well until the individual responsible for not letting the boat get stuck during the falling tide messed up. Boat didn't refloat until around 11:15 PM and we got back just after midnight...that was a long day. At least I had the lights of town to navigate in the dark.

If you go to the Motus site that @cory linked above you can see that Stikine River Station (ID# 9643) is now cataloged and active.

Installing the tripod base and the telescoping mast with antennae. The rock bolt install was a breeze, even in the granite with the SDS hammer drills.

And a last one that our resident Treehouse surveyor will appreciate. It was located around 15 feet from the tower.

Had a day on an island for customer today. Picked up by boat, sure beats trekking down the steps with all the gear.

It is a functioning boat yard and dry dock. At the quoting stage he asked for us to remove a couple of trees. No problem it should take half a day.

Use my crane he says LOL. Half hour later that tree was done. The rest of the day was pruning.

There are other factors of why not to drop whole. And why we could not just bomb the tops. Shallow septic tank and system. Structures. Water pipes that feed water troughs in pastures. They wanted to just save "the green stuff" on that mess. Some folks don't modify or accept education. First lead that just flops off and busts something should help.

Of course the live trees I just pruned off the roof he was happy he could now just drop whole as needed in the future since the weight has been adjusted
He can just move fencing on those to make it work. He has heavy equipment as well. Rancher like Jim. Just fewer acres

Fortunately that is stuff I never have to deal with.
Hence my ignorance.
