Wow, you are serious when you say there are but two seasons.

Please, do tell, what do you do for heat?

My husband thinks Montana would be the ideal place to retire. Plenty of wide open spaces without people near one another. No, he has never been there LOL. Oh and he can not stand being cold. HAHAHAHA

Your dogs are fine looking hounds. Egor is too!

These two little turds showed up in February. About starved, half frozen and had worms. Probably dumped off. I think they are brother and sister. Took them to the vet and had them fixed and checked out. They've turned out to be the best little dogs. Very protective of us and the property. I think they were mistreated. I didn't really want any pets right now since I work all the time and am on the road a lot of weekends playing music. It's worked out good this year though since I've been home on the weekends more. They are house broken and ride well. Not sure what they are.

ONE blue eye??? If I woke up in the middle of the night and saw that looking at me I'd probably die.

Cool looking dogs... My brother's got one very similar and it's a smart good dog.

This old shack we live in.....plus a little shop....can cost 1000 to 1200 a month to heat.

But thats only three to 5 months......

Damn, son...it's gonna cost you more to feed the guard fleet than you'll see in profits from all those woolie buggers.
;)

Nice looking hound. All your new dogs are looking like fine beasts, imo.

Them wolves better watch the Hell out.

Jim. there was an interesting study from Schweiz.
Turns out that wolfpacks with older animals in charge will bypass sheep that are guarded by that kind of dogs " Schutzhunde......I don't , regrettably, know the American word for them. Knowing me as you do, you can imagine how that pisses me off"
They have been there and know the cost.
Young wolves will try their luck and learn the cost.
Next time around they will just pass them by.
