I never wait for pay from insurance companies. I get paid when the job is done.

Its the policy holders problem to fight with their carrier not mine.

Same..if possible. But some folks just aren't prepared to handle emergencies. I accomodate.

however, there's no way an insurance co is gonna tell me what i can charge (save for debris removal) Our normal hourly rate is $100 per man, on the job...and goes up from there for risk, ovetime, after hours, or weekends.

On the job we're finishing today, there's a fair bit of easy time, like organizing gear, planning, setting ropes, and the groundie not doing much, (see my current thread, no crane), so I'll be happy with getting $125-150 per hr. Which will work out to about $2200-2500...and the tree is only maybe 14" where it broke. Plus debris removal when the snow melts.

I do remember now it was Travelers.

Damn! That's my worker's comp company. I hope their other branches don't suck that bad. Though, I also hope I never have to post a claim. So far, so good though.

Well i want to know , How the heck do i negotiate with the insurance company when they are telling me its white or black.
Cause it sux and its never happened befor.
