Both my floor jacks are toast, 35 years, can't bitch, the orange one was gone through 10+ years ago, the other one, toast 10+ years ago. Taking them in next day or so to get rebuilt.

Powerwashed the heck out of both of them, don't like to work on greasy stuff myself, don't expect others too.

We'll see how it works out.

Yes, my helpers are done for the day.............

A guy does tend to get attached to his tools ya know. 50 years of dependable service is quite something.

Shouldn't be any need to make anything, most all hydraulic houses will have the seals, backers and O-rings, or something close enough to work for the seals. Now if there is serious wear on something, highly unlikely on something like a floor jack, he might have to turn a new shaft?

Went and picked up my jacks tonight......my wallet is 340.00 lighter.

The rebuild guy said the 4 ton Craftsman was a good quality unit, just rebranded, ironically he had a 10 ton from the same maker there.

Price may seem high but I couldn't replace one for that.......

Hopefully all will be happy in Ed's world for a while.
