The police were taking fuel cans from the protesters but have been court ordered to return them. Now they are calling children's aid society on people with kids at the protest. That's like the CPS for you guys in the states.

cops are confiscating fuel. So a lot of people are carrying gas containers that are empty. Or have gas in them. Just to make a point.
Many generators on site, and I haven't seen any diesel ones yet. Plus gas powered vehicles are part of the convoy.
