How'd it go today?

That's a pretty freaky story OM. Saw throwing = tantrum and they are for 2 year olds, and guys who have just flipped their forestry truck not a few damaged flowers. What a douche.

I am beat!! And I owe some HUGE favors!! The guy with the peeper problem loaned me his 763 Bobcat and dump trailer to tear out an haul off the concrete. The wife and I were 2 yds. short on money for the concerete down the drive. He ponied up $300 to pay for it, if I help him sand his porch next week. Then he and two others where here today, ALL day, busting their butts helping me put the mudd down.
It got away from us, it's happened once before, it's ugly, really ugly! Dude sent one of the other guys to get his "sliders". He hand trowled the whole run along the driveway! It had setup so fast that by 12:30 Bubba could barely get his hand prints in it! By 3 I was walking on it.
It looks nice, and I am very happy with it, but I will NEVER pour 4000# concrete again! At least not that large!

The tensile strength, normally it's 3500#'s per sqaure inch, for $2 a yd.more I thought I'd go with the better stuff. Now they make up to 6000# PSI, but that for runways and the like.
I just know it sets up a LOT faster than the 3500 stuff!

Yes, basicly more portland and bigger gravel to hold up to the weight. It was "spongy",for lack of a better word. Kind of like pouring with calcium in it, and kicked a lot faster than any of us thought. But it was a large pour for us! We try to keep them to five yards or less anymore, not the eight and a half yds. this was. It hurts a lot!
Really it went down nice, it just set faster than we thought, and it got so you couldn't even run the Fresno over it at the end. It was like a rock, NOW!

Should have put plastic sheeting under it, so the ground would not suck the water out. 5000# and above is bridge mix and some commercial work.

Chainsaw throw, it seems like it could be one of the new timber sports.
Wonder if the manufacturers would donate for marketing purposes?

When I was young and dumb once I got all heated up in the bush at a saw and tossed it. Cost me a sidecover and I've never thrown a saw ever again. I knew a guy who tossed a saw over a cliff once, and it wasn't even his. It was a loaner and he had to and did buy the guy he borrowed it from a new saw.

Rob hit one of my saws tossing a round over the fence today... I looked at it, he looked at it.. apologized. No breakage on the plastic. I picked up the saw.. walked away (about 50 feet). Started the saw... Put the saw down and took a very deep breath and counted to 20.:what:

Back home :) 8.5mpg on the way back :(

Good deal, Al, that's gotta be a great feeling.

The boat w/o motor cost $1500, I don't think we did that bad. It's going to be a barge for our lake.

Congrats, Al. Don't be like a lot of folks, and immediately take a loan out on something else....remain a free man for awhile.

Today was good compared to the past few. We got rained out again, so we hitched up with Mom and little bro to go up to Cincy. Dropped them at the Aquarium, and then me and Dad went out to check out some stores, do a bit of gear shopping at a small supply place called Forest Lytle.

Work tomorrow though. Going to finally finish up all this landscape/sod crap we've been doing the past week. Looking forward to some awesome climbs/removals we've set up for next week!8)
