How'd it go today?

Sure wish I got the wood from the trees I took down.
got a little maple and a twenty yard dumpster of oak coming from a couple side jobs but that won't get me through winter.

I suppose the wood deal would just depend on where you live .In Mississippi , Louisiana , Georgia etc. it would just be a nuisance you have to get rid of .Up north here it can be a commodity .

The stuff all burns though, cottonwood and soft maple produce heat you just have to burn more of it .

I guess Tom is going to at it today .His crew and splitter plus my splitter .

I've got a 110hp Mercury Thunderbolt I could put on it, but we'll probably stick with an electric motor we already have.

All but one seat is out and the bizatch be floatin.

2200lb capacity, 90hp max, 15ish people, 22'.

Haha, sweet... lake must look huge now that it's filled.

This morning I did some grinding on the truck bed, and I decided to inspect the adjustable tongue on the chipper. Wouldn't you know I cross threaded the lock nut when I went to go put it back together, and the bolt stores closed till Monday. :|:

Finished bucking wood from yesterday. Now i'm going to hang out for a bit then go work on my junk

Wow, sorry to hear. Have you tried to strengthen the troublesome area? Deadlifts, hyperextensions, sit-ups?

I have never had a back xray or MRI.....might do that next to rule out big bad stuff. May be old injuries, this spot has hurt me before.

Bummer John. I know Dad just went through a big back pain thing. Pulled a muscle in his back or something while climbing.

Today was good. Not a fun one, but not bad either. We finished all the sod work at this ladies place. Finally finished there after 5 or 6 days of work there!!

Bad part of the day was at the end. We were unloading all the scraps and dirt we threw on there. Using pitch forks to throw the clumps off and somehow, Dad's finger was stabbed. He's had worse, but he might have to get a few stitches later.

There's a good chance that merely strengthening the area will diminish or resolve the problem altogether as long as it's not a chronic degenerative thing.

Sorry t0o hear that John. I hope it gets better sooner than later.

Hot and humid at the lower altitude today brushing out that pasture at the cattle ranch. Done with the worst part of it though. She is just going to move us to the next place she wants done after this one is done.. 120 acres.. She wants all the grass she can get for those cattle...

Downer today.. We got a call from Katy at the job site and Aunt Sheila passed away this morning. She went fast and did not suffer. She got 6 good years with the ovarian cancer with treatment. She's in a better place and I am happy she did not have to linger long. Should have services here end of the month. Making a lot of phone calls to a lot of people. She was well loved up here and part of local law enforcement. Only happens to the best of us. She was an awesome human being.

Absolutely. If you can't just go to sleep and not wake up, that's the next best thing. Thanks for the condolences Brian. Sorry everyone, not trying to be a bummer here. Just been a day.

Bummer man, sorry to hear about that.

Dad ended up getting 4 stitches in his finger. They shot him up with some pain killer or whatever, got the stitches, and was good to go. Hopefully it heals fast!

Same here man, about once every year.3 weeks ago Brian gave me his bad back and I was laid up for about a week eating cyclobenzaprine.Every time it happens I vow when it gets better I will start an exercise plan for the back, then I just go back to work :|:

Man standing around at that trade show on concrete almost had me in tears

My condolences also Stephen. In the end if you can leave your loved ones and a few others glad that they knew you, then that's about all you can hope for too. It sounds like your Aunt was loved and appreciated.
Speaking of excerises Paul, I had better do some. I've been swimming lately.
