In the 12th picture you can barely see a Blue Angel hauling monkey.

There were six of them buzzing the bay for about 2 hours. Hard to catch on film next to the spire and work.

4th to last picture is one hellova Crane Operator. Big Daddy Chill. Smooth Acurate and flows with momentum.

Watch it rot.
Should take about 30-40 years.

We'll see.

I think it would be fun to climb at night with a backpack full of beer and look for shooting stars.

Let's not talk about tax dollars, Please.

This is probably one of the more benign purchases.

Huh.

Cool project. Something like they would build in Springfield..

The link doesn't say much other than it's art made with the local material. I would guess that tree workers look at the creation a bit differently from your average folks.

Probably seeing it in photos is different from looking at it in person within it's surroundings.
I hope so :?

It's ArtWork within nature using nature. The new plantation will grow around it over the course of time and it will become Habitat basically.

Someone proposed this and The Presidio loved the idea and viola.

There is a huge Art push in the new changes on the Park.
New Museums and such.

Don't ask me, I'm not why but do.

It was fun to build I just thought I'd post the pictures for you folks to see.

:) :) :)

It was good practice, I've never used a lift before.

Drilling 6' through rods was new to me.

I hope I don't sound edgy I'm pretty low blood sugar right now.

Think I'll make some bacon and eggs before tonight's poker game.

Right now the foundation and concrete collar need still to be installed within the next week.

Then they'll add a drainage system and backfill it.

After all construction is complete and the fence comes down, the public will be able to touch it.

And show their kids, more things that people built.

OK, I can't stand it any more. I'll be the prick that says it first.

What a colossal waste of time and money! I guess it takes somebody who works in an office to think that is 'attractive' in some way. As somebody who works with live trees on a daily basis, I think it looks like death and destruction.

And in 6-12 months it will be a fire hazard. One spark and you'll have 200' flames visible from space on satellite imagery. It won't get put out until it's a small pile of ash.

Sorry Deva. I know you guys have worked hard on it, but in my eyes it's just another fine example of our out-of-control government and wasteful spending.

I agree Skwerl, but it was fun making it. lol

Take it for what it is,
When you come to Cali to climb some big Redwoods Stop By in SF and Check it out.

What? So was this a test? Did you have wagers going on who would be first to criticize it? I hope I didn't disappoint you. ;)
