The Official Work Pictures Thread

Lol that's just luck. In reality, at that price, even if the motor was blown, i would be under 2000 to get it running. I also have a 10" Olathe disk with power feed that needs a motor, came off a small tub grinder, got that for 500 lol. If you are poor like me, you learn to wrench

A couple of jobs recently. Beech tree reduction at the French embassy in Oslo. The tree needed to be reduced as it was interfering with satellite and wireless communications. The job was contract climbing. 2 climbers.

Ash deadwood at a property owned by one of the wealthiest families in Norway. Only an after picture I am afraid but the tree was riddled with it.

Removal of 5 Aspen trees situated between a property and a garage. Rigged out the trees where needed.

Removal of a few pine trees for one of my and friends parents. Chipped on site and wood left for firewood.

Thanks Mick.

Quick question... do you actually grease your chipper every day? The manual says daily (8hours). Obviously you dont want to much grease in there, but if you only chip for maybe an hour or two all told, all day - are you still greasing daily?

Those rotor bearings are not purge bearings, so they don’t need daily greasing, in fact I’m not even sure they need greasing at all as the grease doesn’t reach the bearings.

The other three are slow moving roller bearings, imo once a week is ok.

My booklet says once a week anyway, is yours in Swedish?

Cutting trees in the name of telecommunications. Lol. Those frenchies should own up, it was probably blocking the satellite tv, just like everyone else.

Nice little job I looked at tonight. Sugar maple that appears to have old lightning damage finally gave out. They want it gone by the weekend which is gonna mess up my Friday off plan but puts me in the community spotlight. I?ll be solo but it can be gone in less than 8 hours. I plan on sending the quote in the morning but was told to do it and send a bill. I also was told by the township trustees that they want me to bid a day rate for emergency work. This is the ? stop what you?re doing and get here now work?. I don?t even no what that is worth.

Treebilly,
If the township trustees are telling you to bid it as storm work, they are saying they want you to make a couple dollars and they aren't asking for a deal because it isn't their money paying you. So IMO bid it about double your normal day rate and don't forget to double your sub costs as well. I love it when people are happy to let me make good money on a job.
