I learned a lot of my cutting from my good ol Uncle Chuck who,worked for me for about four years. But worked the woods his whole life. Grandfathered into the cert when all that business started. Some here recall when he was with me I imagine. Not a technology guy by any means. Still sends rolls of film off to be developed. Lol.
Best man you could ever hope for on a pulline as he could read a fell like nothing. He's the one that taught me my favourite tree pulling line. "Pull hard, it'll come easy". Lol.

Yeah, all the loggers say that down here too. Man, you've gotta love the old-timers, though. Justin, man I think you've gotta get back into the trees a bit. I'm not sayin full-time or anything, but... it's just so obvious you're heart's still in it. Don't get me wrong, I know you're "all good," and all, but still. Just sayin.
Williard: Thanks so much for throwing up that clip. Makes me super nostalgic for the 80's (my best decade, so far). I went ahead and watched that Ericsson clip too. Makes me really appreciative for all the different stuff people use for different reasons in different regions. I wish I were a logger, but I'm not. I can't even imagine giving a rip about fiber-pull. But I gotta say... that guy can stretch a tree out all the way to the ground without losing it off the stump, and without a bit of wood-pull, even if it makes for some (imho) pretty low-grade "hinge-porn."
I probably should have been out in the woods, but I like the arb trade too, and LOVE all the added time I get with my family.

I was watching some of the recent surf pics taken at shark island, cronulla. I nearly got killed there 20 something years ago. Talk about being out of ones depth. Haven't thought about that in years until I saw the head lines.
