We spent the first 4 days of the week over on the mainland, veteranizing innocent trees.
10 hour days which was a bit too much for me, I'm still not over Corona.
The dogs loved it, they slept together in the truck and spent the days running around in the forest.
We found a spot with a nice view for lunch yesterday.

I've seen Sedov in the "Tall ships race" here.
Hell of a ship.
 
Plastic clay.
They have small land slides all the time.
Interesting place, really, trees leaning every which way, because they've lost their footing.
 
Bit of a derail, I've sailed in Tall Ships races, knew a lot of the ships back then.
We were class B, won several races.
And yes, that was a lot of detail Andrey thanks!

We did the army base ash tree job today.
Went way faster than expected, that machine is just sooo effective for that kind of work.
I had priced the job for 2 days and we did it in one.
Since the army is a big organization, I had over priced it some.
So even though I'll give them a discount, I made about the same today that I normally do in 6 days :)

The most rabid of the treehuggers came up to the fence, offered us cans of soft drink and said it looked fine.
So I guess I really did manage to put a lid on that boiling kettle, which was what they brought me in to do.

So the treehuggers are happy, which makes the army happy and I made a shitload of money, which makes me happy...............win, win, win!

Now I hope pulling this off like that will be my entrance ticket to more jobs for the state.
That would really be a win.

Woodpeckers and those fungus types that only go for dead or mostly dead wood.
Not to mention all the grubs and stuff that woodpeckers like to eat.

We topped everything so it couldn't reach the perimeter fence and left the tops on the ground to rot and provide shelter for hedgehogs, wrens etc.

We were just trying to do it as "naturally " as possible to appease the trehuggers.
Which worked.
