The Official Work Pictures Thread

Priced 2 Spruce for takedown no cleanup. Homeowner wanted to give it a shot and made a fair showing with some Frankensteined climbing gear and an electric reciprocating saw. One of his lower straps on his polegaff was a little alligator clipped strap you would use to secure a section of air hose to an industrial heater. He did his best and skinned them a good 30' before he decided he had had enough.

Laminated root disease trees coming down.

So far all wedge overs.

Have to go trim off some low, long branches below the communication line.

These trees could blow over the power line (again, 1 fell this past winter), and a horse stable.

91 degrees at the airport, cooler in the country, and rocking a Coolvest.

A bit sweaty, and not bad at all.

Nothing like experience to prove limits. You have a hard data point now instead of having to wonder.

What size Avant? I love my little 528. almost 500 hours and so far I have been able to self extract using the extending boom whenever I've gotten into sticky situations.

Avant 630 I'm loving it. What is hard to see is the wash out I'm stuck in. Im still learning how to party with it. That 500 to 600 series seems like a good spot for tree work.

Big firs over 3 days, view pruning of epicormic growth, low limbs blocking the view of the skyline on the opposite shore.

I realized today that the far shorelines' trees have grown a good amount since the view pruning was done a long time back.

Spurless was work. Got my rope walking going. 20220804_114245.jpg 20220804_151621.jpg 20220801_092857.jpg 20220804_191632.jpg

Cedar logs to lumber.
Another "unit" of cedar is waiting.
Doug-fir siding was started today at the sawmiller "Brother Lennie"

We are still logging on Møn in record heat.
This is one of the last big ash trees that needed to go to the mill before armillaria ruined it completely.

We've been starting at first light to try to beat the heat.
To have your 3rd big stick on the ground, bucked and limbed just as the sun peeks over the horizon is a great feeling.
So is quitting at 2 PM and heading for the beach.
