Malika and I are off to Seattle, to visit my Uncle and surrounding family.
My closest family is a 1000 miles away, ha.

Should be a real treat, driving the 350 to retrieve a bed set at the same time.

Hey Deva... I'll be in Orting, WA where I'll be with my parents... We are gonna do a bird and all the trimmin's! Orting is about an hour and a half south of Seattle.

I have the kids this year and we are gonna spend the holiday at my parents place.

...and for you guys gonna deep fry a bird... it's easy. We've done it other than on Thanksgiving, and they are delicious. Not as hard or dangerous as it sounds. Just follow the directions that come with the fryer to the letter, and you will have tasty bird!

Willie, I'll at least call, I'll see what "time" is permitting, I'll definetly give a honk.

Gary, Great times are here.
My Uncle wants us to go out to Ocean Shores to visit my StepGramma.
I dunno about that, awfully out of the way.

We'll probably hang with Malika's family in Seattle Saturday night.
Hit up Broadway and sip some coffee.

Gary, Ice and heat with some stretching, mind that back, Keep it loose and strong. :)

I want to cook cajun for Thanksgiving, but will have to see how the vote holds.

Got a super gorgeous Rib roast setting in the freezer for Christmas. Best looking prime rib I have ever seen, but has to wait for santa.

Fred

Had the Turduckhen. Wasn't as good as I had hoped for sure.

Fred

Yes really. We had one from Herbert's.

A properly stuffed turkey would have been better.

Wow... Ocean Shores is just a "tad" out of the way... LOL.

Been on the ice - heat regiment for a week now. Gotta doc appointment in the AM tomorrow. Thanks Deva!

On the TurDuckHen thingy... I wasn't too impressed when I had it last year either. So I will skip that this year. :)

Gary

Eh, I guess I gotta find out for myself....

Anything with duckfat in it has to be good.

I just ordered a Honey Baked® ham and a side of Aw Rotten (au gratin) potatoes for pickup tomorrow. I should be able to chow for a few days on that. 8-9 lb half ham was $51 and change. That's about $6 per pound. Not that much more than buying an uncooked ham at the grocery store.

Mmmmm, that Honey Baked ham is soooooo good! It's been so long I forgot how much I enjoy it. I also hit the grocery store and stocked up on other goodies to compliment the ham. I'll be chowing down all week! Not to mention invites on Thursday (and possible take-home leftovers).

Just the 2 of us this year-we have an invite to friends but Cathy doesn't want to go. She has requested a Beer in the Rear Chicken.
