As much as we like to be on a first name basis with everyone here, and I agree, it does make it feel more like family doing so. It's gotten hard for me to keep up with everyone's name, I don't have a place to put a "cheat sheet" on my laptop!
I did, however, join another forum that is VB powered and when you sign up it asks your name, which it then displays under your avatar or user name. Makes the place feel "warmer" I guess? I really liked the idea myself! Just figured I'd throw it out and see how others felt about the idea and if maybe that is something Butch or Steve could configure into this site?
If you all think it's a stupid idea, it's a stupid idea, but like I said, it really made me feel more welcome there, and this site in particular, we like to be more friendly and on a first name basis with most members.
