Worked on a Dodge Stratos this am. It made a rattle or thump when they went over a bump.
The spare tire was used a while back and when they put all back in they didn't tighten everything down. Hard fix.
Threw up for a while. Drank a bunch of water, threw up some more then got the dry heaves.
Finished off the tooth bar on the mini bucket. Called in and spread five ton of gravel along the side of the house where I get in and out of the backyard. That mini is really slick for jobs like that
Still not feeling all that great, but Bubba is raring to go already, should be a fun evening
Lousy day. Wrapped up a $10k landscape install today that I wish I never took on. I took the job to buy me time and let me tree work schedule fill in more. The wife of this house is in a horrible mood to everyone in sight right now.
I offered to warranty all the plants and labor for 1 year for a feeand she said no. A few variegated grasses have a rough case of transplant shock and now she wants me to replace them at my expense or she says we are going to court.
so let her take you to court, if she has no case and is a bitch, it will flesh out. I dont warranty anything unless I get to install or at least program the irrigation AND I get to do monthly maintenance.
I promise to install healthy plants, properly, the care they are given after that, which is not in my control, how the hell can I be held accountable for that?
Today after school I went with Dad and we loaded up the mechanics trailer with some logs that he cuts up/splits for firewood.
Then when I got back I spliced up my 18ft of Tachyon to create an SRT anchor. I'm building what I think is a very simple SRT anchor system. I'll get pics when I set it up for the first time at the Ohio comp.
Day two of the 20 acre weed eat.... Got into the rough today as we do every year and I am covered in poison oak juice
Tomorrow we finish the rough and go for the maintenance cut on what we have cleared over the last couple of years... He has booked three days per month till March now. The chipper will be busy for the next few visits. He is also talking of having us do more on the main road and the other side of the 120 acres for one of his neighbors houses that is with in 60 feet of his property line... This should be fun
Probably more tree work in the fall from him also
I have about ten msgs today on the board to refer to someone else for weed whacking
Yeah but the transplant shock manifested itself in the very tail end of my time on the job. So I cant decide if I should cover it because I was still on site during the time frame that symtoms were displayed. Now, if she calls me a month from now I will not think twice about telling her no. I'm on a fence post. Help push me one way or the other.
Thats how I feel about it. Especially cause i told her dont touch or water or fiddle with anything until the job is complete. I would handle all general care until I was finished. My nursery will back the material without thinking twice. They sell good material and stand by it.
I don't know much about hydraulics, but something is causing the fluid to get that hot. Cooler or no cooler, something else is going on. Find the cause instead of treating the symptoms. Perhaps some blockage in a roller motor or something?
Taking a extra long weekend. Today I'm the parent helper for my kiddo's pre-school class. It's gonna be a blast, boy she's excited to show off her daddy.
Tomorrow is a funeral, so not so fun of a day to have off but that's the way it goes sometimes.
I had a guy tell me my climbing was "very impressive" today. I FL about 30 ft to get a hanger...Dude had to be in his 60's and he was doing pushups with his feet on the headrest of a park bench...sets of 50
I also missed Giselle Bunchen walk by while in the tree..
Today was the last day of school, and now it's 3 days of no homework or anything school related!! Then Monday I start a 2 week summer Latin 2 class. Then it's 2 months of tree work and climbing fun!
So far today, I've cooked tacos for dinner, cleaned my room, collected on my cat sitting/pruning job(a nice $200) and packed the car for the Ohio trip we set out on tomorrow. Still have to stitch the bridge extender I made and drop it off tomorrow. Then, it's on to the Ohio comp!!
Things went well at the kiddo's school, although I learned that discipline is not part of the parent helpers protocol. Mouthy, rude little buggers some kids nowadays.
