How'd it go today?

Whenever you need me David. I'm just three weeks out now, so there's that...
I keep thinking about that. It occurred to me that my tree work is after hours…so you’d either be doing the whole thing yourself or nothing while I was working. Most of my jobs pay little or nothing, labor trade etc. That being said, I’m bidding 10 beetle kill oaks in the mountains, a couple will require rigging. If I get that, I might take a week off from day job and knock it out. Man lift and Telehandler.

I also finally got the upside down squid big ole hairy codominant Euc job.

Good, dry day.

One set of customer: 2 apples pruned, Ben and I levered a small peach out at the roots.

Other customers: fell the hard leaning maple that the husband started beavering, who the wife convinced to wait., leaning cherry on a heavily sweeping butt, flop a maple without barberchairing it, and climbed to wreck another 80' maple stem.

Homeowner cleanup.

Looked at their neighbors/ existing customers 4' dbh fir for storm- damage management and eventual removal. It speared a 10-12" trunk through the second story roof, then floor to the slab.

I had something similar happen. It was/is a dead silver maple that we set up on and found the tree needed a crane, way too rotten to rig anything and over the garage, two fences, and formal garden so cut and chuck was out. Bailed out, new price, new estimate, she didn’t get back to me and six years later the real rotten wood pecker condo high rise smashed the corner of the garage, not flattened but lots of broken 2bys and holes. I’m just in limbo on the crane operator, he had rotator cuff resurfacing or something like that, he said a few weeks.

Yesterday I took the ole 340,000mi dually dodge and towed the 9,000lb F350 flatbed over the mountains for repair. Picked up a 1500lb hay grinder (mulcher) rotor. Dropped off the Ford. Went up to the higher mountains, spent the night, and cut and loaded a few thousand lbs of beetle kill oaks on the trailer, also burnt up limbs. Me and the old derge are tired. Pics of unique trees n stuff.

Oh, fixed his light duty bucket rake too.
