I think the star was too heavy.. I just heard teeth grinding..
500’ x 5’ wide and three posts w concrete. 2 more posts tomorrow then Tposts and wire….

One hole was 90 minutes for 14 inches thru blue solid rock w the jackhammer chisel.
Another hole was 18 inches in 15 minutes w pick, shovel and rock bar….

Really not liking the weather right now. Not terribly cold but cold enough to bring moral down. Also doesn’t help that we’re pruning oaks today. Chasing dry branches in pin oak sucks. Also doesn’t help that I’m not sleeping good. Might need to cut back on the coffee

Another day of oak pruning. Not terrible. I had time in between to do a few repairs on my 500i’s. Had to fly at the end to get a balance of keeping the customer and neighbor happy while staying within proper standards. A few well placed cuts solved all issues.
Now I’m getting a list together to make sure we’re prepped for this weekends fine weather. Sub zero temps and then forecasted 10-14 inches of snow on Sunday into Monday. Basically I just need to pick up gas for the generator and side by side. With that much snow I plan on at least having Monday off work. I’ll take full advantage and drag the kids around on a sled. Also I might push up a big snow pile and hollow it out as an igloo fo a camp out. I haven’t done that since my oldest was born(15+ years). The wife thinks I’m crazy

Miriam stayed busy elsewhere.

New Ben and I worked for a regular. High TIP shot into a tall fir to give some backup and easy of climbing a compromise Madrona. Took down a forest ash that would otherwise die once EAB hits.

Sadly, too many people waited until the ash was super extra crispy before dealing with them. It would have been cheaper to have dealt with them when they had some green left in them.
