Summertime catching up on my property chores has felt really good.

Planting, pruning, firewood, milling a bit, storing slabs, gardening, picking fruit, etc.

I’ve been working less hours at work and more at home. It’s nice getting projects done around the house but I feel like I’m working more hours. Hoping to find time this weekend to go look at another camper. I want to downsize a bit so I can fit into more campgrounds and also be able to tow with the suburban. I’ve also been camping (glamping🙄) a lot more this year which is the reason I’m looking to upgrade.

Getting ready to order some parts for the Kubota head gasket project. Glow plugs are weak, so what better time to twist them off than when the head is already off? New plugs are also very cheap.

Looked up some 1/0 jumper cable for project. It jumped from $8.54/ft a couple months ago to over $11.

The temperature swung so hard the other way I just ran the heat for an hour.

I was looking at BatteryCablesUSA. All OFC (oil free copper) made in USA. These are two conductors bonded specifically for jumpers. I was just surprised at the huge jump. Probably something to do with copper supply speculation. Everything seems to be pretty volatile right now.

Mess with an electrical connection on my old and thankfully long-gone Fiat 124 and you could just about count on some gremlin rearing its ugly head.

Magneti Marelli electrics! I used to swear at them with my 124 Spyder, too… the poor man’s Alfa.
