Many of our vintage Internationals, 656, 826, 1256, have 6 volt in series, and most are 3E/4E. It works, but 31S batteries from Fleetpride, or any truck store, are cheap and available.

finally got a hose reel and a GOOD tire inflator, might be the single most expensive air tool I've ever bought but hopefully my future kids will get to use it, didn't realize how much flow a good inflator puts out but I can fill my lawnmower tires from 0 to 20psi in about 10 seconds, got one with a locking coupler so I can be 5ft away from my truck and trailer tires when filling them, not a fan of being near a tire, statistically ones gonna blow up in my face one day, im just making sure my face is far enough away that I might not get hurt too badly when it does happen (although it might fix my face, its a lil F'd up)

Used washer I bought several months back, to replace the newer one giving us fits, just died as well. So using the laundry mat for a while. Blessing and a curse.

So true. And any reliable appliance salesman will tell you that, so in reality the situation is most likely even worse.

Please tell me you hit it with a hammer a few times before cranking it over, just for shits and giggles.Drove an hour to diagnose and fix an electrical problem that many people had been working on for about a year. It had a no crank problem. I figured I'd jump the solenoid and see if it could start, then work my way back from there. I grabbed a dmm and checked the battery, a little low, but not terrible. Then I went to starter to jump it, and found a fuse holder someone had added. Bad fuse. I put in a new one and it fired up. I was hoping for a nice little puzzle to solve.I did get to crimp on some new connectors for the fuse holder, so not a total loss.

I was officially 6' 2 5/8" at the oncologist last December. Imma chalk that up to hair loss, I've been claiming 6'3" for decades.

I finally got to work on my stuff today. Oil change and hoses on my backhoe. Pulled my dump truck out of the weeds in preparation for getting it running. First trail hike in months.

I think you @Dave Shepard might well be the closest thing to a Treehouse match for @Al Smith...or maybe better to say that the two of you working together could real and true "fix effin' anything".I'm beginning to get the idea that you can fix anything, Dave.
I'm no slouch in this arena, but in my fondest dreams I'd wish to have the skills you and our ol' Uncle Al can bring to bear on anything broke

Thanks Burnham. I get things done, but I think Al has me beat by a good bit. I'm just not smart enough to ask myself if I can actually do what I'm about to do. I just jump in and figure out the details later.

Trying instead of talking yourself into not trying is far the better path, imo.
This pic was taken about an hour after I put my harness on today, almost passed out from the heat 90ft up this oak, I think thats the fastest I've made it to the ground besides rappelling off the crane
not feeling good, getting up at 4am to go do the rest of this tree will be hard, didn't get to even make the first big cut (emergency job, didn't show up till 5pm, 95 degrees and 90% humidity, same tomorrow but 105 heat index and supposed to be no wind)
I'm currently shopping for bucket trucks, I don't wanna pay for one but I can't climb anymore, after this tree I'm done unless its maybe a really small tree I can finish before 8am

All trucks need names, if they prove worthy, and your's certainly have. What do we call the red power stroke? I'm thinking "Cinnamon" because she's Big Red. Or maybe "Ginger", or maybe "Paprika" because she's got a black bit...
I hate being wet when it aint raining but I might do this, headed out to the job right now to go climb in the dark and try to get as much done as possible before the sun starts cooking us alive

showed up at 6am and got in the tree right away, still had a climb line in it from yesterday, tree down by about 10am, lots of time to get stuff put away since we had to pull a lot of rigging out to get it done but its now 1 pm and I'm home, paid and about to take a shower!
had a comealong in the top to hold the split closed, rigged down a lot of back weight, ratchet strapped and chained the split closed along with a 3/4 bull rope tied to the house side and half hitching the forest side so it wouldn't pull anything weird when we pulled it over, then sent the whole thing into the woods
my rigging ropes were about 50ft short of reaching the top and back down, most of them are about 150ft, it wasn't a small tree by any means, my stump looked horrible but I was working around a block wall, active splitting over my head, and a twisted bar on my 400, it was cutting fine this morning, come time for the stump it wasn't doing so hot, 500 is down right now so I had to make due with what I got
not my finest work ever, but there was zero property damage besides some saplings, few little knicks here and there from thorns in the woods and everyones tired but the customer is happy, I'm happy, and the guy that got us the job is happy, all in a days work!
