How'd it go today?

I'm sitting here at the sawmill using the internet. It's absolutely perfect out right now. I just heard a big tree go down somewhere on the neighbor's, and then a very ticked off bird making a racket. Not sure what that was all about. All kinds of wildlife drama going on around here.

The rats in the walls of the grain building just woke up. Time to go home! Internet might be off at home, but no rats to zip up your trousers!

Guess we lost a bobcat today🤬. I don’t have a clue what the boneheads did. This was at one of our dumping and mulch yards we own. The neighbor sent me the pic. He wasted a fire extinguisher while our guy called the fire department. Probably means we have to get a new skid steer before I get a new crane

I lost my Bobcat T300 last summer. Birds build nests on the engine. The ones right inside the
door are easy to spot but then they will build a nest far enough into the engine bay you can’t see or reach the nest. I was moving some gravel from winter snow plowing last year when the bobcat stopped, started throwing codes, and beeping. When I looked back, it was billowing black smoke.

Back at my sawmill to use wifi to watch some YouTube. Laptop, just taken off charger, goes black. It's this a thing, sudden laptop death? 2025 is really shaping up to be a pos.

I finally mounted an air compressor in my dump truck today. It barely fit in the 18"x18"x24" box mounted under the dump bed. The compressor is a Puma PD-1006. It draws up to 30 amps so I ran a 8ga wire for power. The wire coming out of the machine is prob 10-12ga but less than 1' long.
I have a couple new DeWalt cordless tool bags that came with tools I purchased, they make great tool bags. I loaded one up with several air tool accessories- a tire chuck, air nozzle, 1/2" impact wrench, a 25' pvc air hose and some sockets for the impact. I also have room for a 12 ton bottle jack, my plugging kit and a few other tools in the box. This keeps it separate from my saw box and my rigging gear box.

I used the compressor today for the first time to refill a flat tire on my buddy's dump trailer. Took about 4 minutes to inflate it from less than 5 lbs to 60 lbs.

spur of the moment chipper rebuild, 3 1/2 hours to pull the fuel tank, both fenders and the engine, got a buddy that will bring his fullsize skid out to put the engine back on since my machine isn't too happy about lifting that 4BT and the whole power unit package
