How'd it go today?

Just had my first physical therapy session .
Steady as she goes.

Now I have a routine for home. Go back once a week. They wanted 2x per. But at over 5.00 a gallon and 2 hours round trip, I insisted once per.

Jeez, 2 hrs round trip? You are in the sticks. $3.62 per gallon here at the moment...and that's with barge transfer.

I think I paid 5.39 for #2 diesel today. I had to pick up some ag red as well. Only a few places near me have it. Dollar per gallon less.
Our fleet station was 4.99 for #2 right before they closed to redo tanks and pumps. Now I have to drive 25 to 30 minutes for red.

Heck, your gas price is less than ours right now...if that is for regular grade gasoline. If that's for diesel, it's still less.

Stephen always pays astronomical prices for his fuels, unfortunately.

Burned a slash pile for a custy today since it's drizzly out. Things are drying out a tad.
Then took down a small dead gray pine and some damaged trees and brush. Burned that.
Then cleaned up a PG&E mess lower down on the property. Dead dry buck brush. Needs to go before fire season. Right below our renters RV space.
Good day for it. See how I feel tomorrow.

Don’t let any kind of diesel, bio or whatever sit. It turns into tar. Petroleum only, and not too long.

Truck I got cheap a while back. My brother wants the rear suspension and axles to make his 4x4 F800 a 6x6 and a buddy of mine wants a “bobbed” deuce - turn 6x6 into 4x4. Brother came to visit and swap labor for parts. Other fella built and installed a heavy duty auto trans in my ‘95 dodge, the big ugly beat up Cummins one with the big tires and all that - the bobber is a trade.

We were not feeling well yesterday due to lack of sleep, plus visiting, missing parts, I hoped to have it on its own wheels in one day. So, finish today, or at last get it on its own 4 legs. I have a bunch of other stuff to do. Radiator, alternator, turbo, fuel system.

“Before”
Suspension articulation of the 6x6 is very good.

Burnham, those are both beautiful bikes. I really like the yellow C2 in Portland. That's a nice bike for the price, and the sidecar is intriguing. I've only ridden a bike with a sidecar once, many years ago. I have no interest in one, but $1500 for that bike a a great deal. The Sabre is somewhat over priced for what it is. Also, the Sabre has more aggressive gearing in the shaft drive, so it will suffer at sustained interstate speeds.

I had the thought that the sidecar might be useful for luggage/cargo on the trips back and forth to see your girls. Plus, the look of a bike with sidecar is so old school that it is appealing in that way ;).
