Yes excellent thread Cfaller, but I have to warn everyone BC falling standards are very restrictive.
The operator has to work the chain brake like a "parking brake", you can't walk further then 2 steps without the chain brake engaged.
No holes in work boots, steel toes only. Must wear safety chaps or trousers with a chain speed rating of at least 3600 feet per minute, that number or higher must be listed on the apparels label and the label must be on in full view, no label your sent home. No back chaining .......and that's just part of it.
 
Well, hopefully that might cover it for a few years, until they add another desk to the office that decides those things.
 
So, Cfaller, which forest are you from? I know the person who signed that document you posted. He also helped write a crosscut manual entitled, "Saws That Sing".
