this was a good pick, 4900lbs ! Crane was good for 10000, came off nicely last pick was 7900lbs ..... I let one of my groundies put the final blow to it!
the trunk pick was only 3200 it was drier then a popcorn fart in a hay stack ! the one pick that's sideways looks that way only because the crane op was starting his up and over of the pick to the LZ can't forget my awesome crew! The ol BC1000 got a workout for sure
this Ash had me on my toes, huge vertical split on the backside of the trunk and could actually here it popping and splitting with no wind! we did 2 big ash trees at the same spot the pics may be jumping back and fourth between the 2
Thanks, was a sketchy tree with the split, once the spider leg slings were set and the crane op had it I took the straps off that were holding the tree together and cut it with no issues
big old sugar maple with co Dom stems and major included bark led to the splitting if ta can see it! Cue the crane, did this and 2 big ash trees on same street Friday
Had lots on the crane chart so went big and safe as possible, 4 picks tree down!
How about a boat ride at -11 to an island for a job ! Lol on our way back the waves picked up quite a bit! Nice ring on this white pine eh? Hollow with an inch of holding wood right beside the cottage no less! Went well and warmed up in the truck on the way home !
75 ton yep, all the ones we did the other day never even had to add any of the counter weights. Awesome crane. His 40 ton with 124' main boom is what we usually use is great too. Fits in tight spots well.
One of many trees we plucked off houses from Monday nights wind storm. All my crane ops smaller cranes were out so we rolled with the big boy all day ! Only charged me for a 40 tn rate, so not bad! Easy pickings!
Finished the day with this split Ash that had a lot of included bark, split apart in the high winds from the other night. GRCS & XXR's to the rescue! I was in my lift for these pics, easy access to get my lift in, and the ground is almost frozen so only used the alturna mats for turning.
Paul I've been using these for about a year now

I'm going to see if Bonner your seeing this can get Phil to start making these also as tree stuff has a similar one but with no splice for the shackle on the bottom. I have...
Yeah, the co. I use has 6 different cranes and are awesome ! Very smooth and the slider legs help so much with the crowns, absolutely 0 movement coming off the cut. We are all hooked up with the ropetek radios and crane Op has his own
Emergency insurance job we did last weds, we de limbed it the night before so we could tarp the roof, then brought the crane In to lift the last section of trunk. Had to go up and over a 3 phase and silver maple. All in all was a productive week aside from the snow!
Yeah it started to rain hard and than wet snow which added some extra weight to the tree, we had it cut up and chipped while the crane op. And one of my guys folded up the jib! We just wanted to get warm and outta the rain! It was the second crane job of the day, all on the same road so went well!
