I don't listen to radio anymore, but it seems that the stupid ads have to repeat the phone number three times in direct succession.

Well, they are only considering it. Not really sure what law would cover this, but he at least had a moral responsibility to get her some help wouldn't you think?

I tend to agree, Dave, forgetting the bizarre element, you can't let someone remain on the toilet all day and night without thinking help is needed. Not sure where neglectful become abusive, though. Odd case, the guy seems loyal and also most inattentive at the same time.
