Purple is generally caused by using amonia based window cleaner.

And tint is rated in the amount of visible light it allows through, not the UV it blocks.

I'm getting the blackest limo tint he's got. He said I won't be able to see out the windows at night to back up. I'll have to stick my head out the window to see where I'm going.
