1) Gecko spurs, the cheaper ones.
2) Treemotion saddle with suspenders.
3) The Fly climbing rope
4) 12' non steel core lanyard with a Gibbs ascender.
5) Silky Zubat handsaw.
6) Vertex Vent hardhat.
7) Big Shot with throwline and bag.

I'm talking about your basic kit, not all the portys, GRCS, bullropes... all that other stuff.

Anyone else?

My ideal climbing kit is exactly what I use. If you are a daily climber, why would you not get exactly what you want?

Buckingham Titanium climbers with velcro wrap pads.
New Tribe Nikosi with several lanyards of different lengths.
Pacific helmet
Silky Zubat (small)
Rope..... I'm not so picky. My favorite is Bluemoon.
Definitely Rope Wrench

I know my opinion of what I want has changed a little as I've progressed. I've been using a puma saddle, klein spurs, 1/2 arbormaster, 12ft steel core, hc pulley w/michoacan, silky zubat, zing it throwline, kask helmet.

Recently added alum geckos I got a deal on and rope lanyard I put together. I'd like to work toward a tree motion saddle. And I just ordered a hitchhiker and will be looking into some bluemoon rope. So I'm slowly working toward my ideal kit and I think I'm almost there.

Aluminum climbing spikes, harness, wire core lanyard, rope and prussic, plus chainsaw.
Sorry, I don't know what most of my my stuff is called, ( harness is a willans, and I don't like it)

I think those are the same saddles as the entry level Weaver or Buckingham but made in Europe some place.

Yes, maybe, I had one when I left college and loved it, then bought a weaver, decided I better retire it after 10 years, so got another Willans and cannot adjust, slips all over the place.

1) TreeMotion with Torse shoulder harness.
2) Hitch Hiker with 8 mm Armor-Prus, Vortex rope for most stuff.
3) Buckingham spurs with longest gaffs available and angled steel pads.
4) 5/8" x 15' steel core flip line and 20' Beeline lanyard, both with friction hitch adjusters.
5) Kask helmet with Sena com. system.
6) A.P.T.A. with 10 oz. bags.

Ideal for me Treemotion,Hitch Hiker w/ armor prus,Wraptor,Hass,Bashlin aluminium gaffs,Wesco highlinners, big shot, wire core flip line, 15ft 1/2" rope lanyard on prussic,
Need to use some new rope choices as sampson yellow jacket has been my go to for so long.

Crane comes to mind also!;)

Butch, You didn't mention rope termination hardware. Are you using snaps?

Buckingham Master Saddle
Arbormaster climbing rope
Been using Treemaster 3 strand for lanyard s with a V,T for adjustment for ages but I'm leaning toward the Micrograb and a stiffish braid as my new preference.
Kansawa Samurai handsaw
Rockman hardhat with faceshield and muffs
Bigshot with throwline and 12 and 14 oz. bags
Bashlin gaffs with pole gaffs and shin-cup 2 strap pads.
Sidekick rope setting and retrieval tool

Same here. I'll have my saddle on in a bucket with the climb rope to lock me in and a rope bag so I can egress in case.
Usually end up climbing out the bucket anyway instead of repositioning. Thus far .....

Give-er-take this is what I usually go up with. . .

DSC03546.JPG

Sherrill Edge (Buck Ergo-lite whatever)
Arbormaster
Hitchclimber
Armor-prus e2e
12' wire core w/ pinto and oceans e2e
Klein's w/ Caddie Pads
Zubat
Kask Plasma Helmet
50' Imori lanyard/secondary system
DMM and Petzl links (also rock and ISC)
HAAS and CMI right foot.
Usually take the pulley-saver if there's gonna be more than one trip up. . . ext.

I want that New Tribe Onyx, but otherwise I'm pretty happy with my kit.

My altec saddles do not require climbing lines ;)
