Could be, but I just checked his website and he's been a shooter for 15 years, looks like mostly advertising. He's plenty good.
The kind of people that fancy themselves as pro photographers tend to think they can do anything and for the most part, can. Not well, necessarily.
I relate to the guy, he's probably able to easily teach himself complex stuff. But dying ain't much of a living. Dangerous stuff is different.
