The Official Work Pictures Thread

Rich... that was a HUGE, huge, oak. Wow. Probably had to bang pretty hard to get that pig knocked down in the time that you did.

Rajan: Pretty astounding how strong those hollow trees can be eh? Having said that... better you than me brother.

Just did more little Hemlocks today. Gotta fall some sticks tomorrow, and do a bit of pruning.
Somebody has to do it!

Thanks Ray, and for sure, I had a guy running the ropes. We roped out all the branches/tops and most of the stem. I sliced up the rest.

Good stuff, Sam...some fine pictures. And a hinge that will catch Jed's attention!!

I like the way you choose pictures...who woulda thunk a picture of a know could be cool?

Ditto this. The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence, Sam. PNW has some beautiful trees, no question. The fall colors in your pics, though man... that quaint, little cabin and bridge... man... Ohhh... and the SUPER-tight tiny little grain in that Pine. Amazing and beautiful stuff. All that your shots don't give us is the smell of that Pine.

Thank you Gary! It's all so interesting to me. . . I really appreciate having an awesome place like this, to share my meager experiences with awesome, like minded people. 8)

Jed, I really want to get out your way, for I have this extremely romantic view of things out there. . . But thank you for reminding me how wonderful it is right here in my back yard. You rock man.

Cheers

OK that's enough awesomeness...lets go to really meager.

About 2/3 done with the clean-up. I manage 3 loads in ~4 hours and call it a day.

a few from my week...

Had some help form Nic's Son, Treviar, last Sat. He did pretty good staying at it for such a boring job.

Great pics Sam.

Nice stackin' Fid! I bet you pull one and they will all come out. ;)

Nothing big for me today, had a rush job to drop a dead cedar within a newly built animal pen. Goats were bangin' on the building to get out. Another dozen stumps to cut low. Then rain.

Half this tree was mush.

A really good friend accused me of batman'ing. Coming home from work, throwing on different cloths and heading back out to cause chaos. . . That's all this was. Like an hour after work. I really envy you guys who rock this stuff all day every day. Warriors man!

Cheers.

NOT meager at all, Dave. Love that first picture...tractor, organized trailered brush. Meticulous work.

Plus what Jim said. Cool post, Dave... here's what a not-cool post looks like. Ahhh, the glories of the Removal Crew.

Then it was off to mess #2.

Mine too Jim. I'm on my phone and at first glance it appeared to be a dusting of snow, then I realized it was housing.

Cool stuff Grendel
Tedious work there Dave.

Misery loves company....It's a great camaraderie tool.

Rain....the great equalizer.

That green strip is Golden Gate Park.

"Dusting of snow" that made me laugh.

Why live here? I just kinda ended up here, started making a ton of tree contacts....Started making money, bought a house...Had a kid....Once this place starts really sucking and stressing we'll bail with options...Vietnam or Seattle or Vancouver BC.....it's crazy here with young millionaire money and lifted Uber from hours away and Google Buses......It's nuts if you're in a hurry. That's why I bid on a moto. .... .
