Yeah well, you know.

You always get the fun ones Deva :|: LOL

My little black oak from Thursday. One side failed and missed everything. Guyed off the other side and rigged off the neighbouring tree on one side. Bombed out the rest on the back side. Four cabins at risk. Now they can rent them out for the weekend. Owner clean up :D IMG_20140828_093833.jpg IMG_20140828_101549.jpg IMG_20140828_101532.jpg IMG_20140828_100829.jpg IMG_20140828_100141.jpg IMG_20140828_100116.jpg IMG_20140828_094041.jpg IMG_20140828_094033.jpg IMG_20140828_094028.jpg IMG_20140828_102346.jpg

Still have 4H and Fair going on. I'll post some of those. We are out at the fair grounds every day through Monday. Rotating animal shifts start today. ..... :D

Leaning pretty good... The rigging points were a tad bouncy.... Had to take smaller pieces and drift them over into the next parking area. A lot of tear outs in the other tops made for not much in TIP selections. Luckily I could just bomb the back 3 tops and wood.

Howdy folks!

I've had a very busy summer. Time to get the work done before the winter sets in. Just stopped by to share a few pictures from the log splitter upgrade project. It's now fully automatic on both the split and return cycles. It is also equipped with a power beyond circuit, allowing me to power my firewood conveyor when the split cycle finishes.

I'll stop in more often this coming winter. Be safe my friends.

So we're extending one of our fire breaks and adding access from another direction. I've got fill lined up for tomorrow to bring the grade out quite a bit. Big ugly there is likely coming down in the next day or so, I wanted to unhook it from it's neighbor so it will go where we need it to. Pretty cool job so far. 8)

Trees I will run through our band mill afterwords.

Will also be maintaining clearance on this skeet range. Some of the trees in the line of fire are packed full of shot.

Cando, your rig looks ready for battle, good luck with it.

Cory,

Thank you. Let me tell you.....that splitter now runs so fast that I can barely keep up with it. It takes all I can muster to keep it fed. Apparently I'm going to have to add an oil cooler to it now as well, because the oil is getting too hot now that it can split wood on a constant basis. Love that new Prince auto valve. Works much better than I had thought it would, and not a single drip from any of the fittings.

Grendel,

My son-in-law has a band sawmill here at my place. It's in dire need of some blade guides. We purchased a new set, but I'd love to see how things are mounted. One of them needs to slide back and forth across the blade, so as to adjust for the diameter of the log that's being cut. Could you provide a couple of blade guide photos for me? I'd appreciate it very much.

Don't get shot while working near that skeet range! Be safe.

Haha. Right on!

You took your pump guard off to? That thing rattled louder than the kubota!

Hydro fed chipper and youll be a monster tree eater.

Sean, does your Boxer seem tippy going up the ramps into the truck? When trailering mine with no load in the grapple, I walk up behind it. Not sure it would rare up, but it sure is back heavy going up the ramps! I always spin around and drive down the ramps when unloading.

Nice weather, took down a fir and a yew amongst other bits.
First real outing for the grab on the kubota, Jesus! I love it!
Turns hours of back breaking ringing up and lifting into a a few minutes of machine work.
