The Official Work Pictures Thread

Cool...I first visited the Ichetucknee in the early 70's...still fairly undiscovered then..an amazing place. Free dove to the bottom of the Jug Hole (Blue Hole?) at one of the headsprings once...that was an adventure.

You are right...these give you a flavor of the site:

and this is the Jug Hole...aka as the Blue Hole...37 feet to bottom, you swim down thru a hole about 8 feet diameter...against a current that comes from an underground river that pours up through the hole...once you get thru the approx 10 foot long shaft the current is not an issue. I snorkeled down once and got a handful of shells from the bottom...very old artifacts in those holes years ago:

One of my favorite pictures from this year, chipping some very dead spruce. The dust was brutal.

Holy crap! I know a fellow who'd start sneezing from just looking at that pic! We nicknamed him "Spitty Spaz."

I did some London Planetrees recently with the dual filter disk respirators ($30 at Home Depot). Blew ourselves totally off with the backpack blower. Not a problem. Dust masks don't do it.
