The Official Work Pictures Thread

Speaking of self lowering I thought this might work for the piddly crap I deal with. I could take a wrap on a stub if my glove got too hot.

Climbin without gaffs is hard, especially if you're old, outta shape n pitiful.....

Yur a vile one, mister Mick, yur a two faced crocodile.....

Ryan, that's a natural crotch, double-whip tackle...I'd use a stub or sling and biner, possibly with a munter hitch if catching a bigger piece. You split your load, so need half the friction to hold a piece, need to apply half the normal friction to let it run.

Natural Crotch speedlining is also very doable...choke the rope to your bottom anchor before you go, adjust up top on a stub.

Wind brings an early Christmas, for me, at least.

Those angled trees on the bank haven't changed a whole lot in 30 years, according to my customer's recollection.

I live off Steamboat Island Road. In the background, you can see the island off the very top of the peninsula, which holds about 20 houses. The land across the water is possibly Hope Island State Park, or possibly (tribal) Squaxin Island.

The cedar that was broken is a support for the second-story deck, which otherwise would need a lot of first floor view-blocking cross-bracing, were it not for the one horizontal post between deck and tree.

Top railing board was destroyed, along with the railing board. Nothing else damaged.
