Got soaked for this:( couldn't let it wait to do with threats of 50mph gusts. Also thought possibly leave one half but the split was halved and with stairs below it had to go.

I normally don't do climbing in the rain but my gear was still moist from the day before soaker and it only took a hour, longer to drive to and from so no point in not taking the time.
 
I had a memorable crane job in high winds once, just getting to the tree was an adventure. The operator and I still laugh about it....or mainly he laughs. :O Interesting when you are in the tree and you can hear the wind whipping up from the north and shaking the trees in the woods as it comes towards you. That extra time to knnw when to hold on is helpful.
 
Silver maple removal

Mondays job, take down Silver maple. Nice big hollow trunk, took it in smaller bits and distributed the rigging. Nice and smooth!

I TD'd a big dead pecan, then sliced another in half - all bucket.
