The official "Welcome New Members" thread!

Hey all,

First off I would like to say this forum is awesome! All of the information that I have read has been great so thank you all for putting something like this together so us newbies can use it as a learning tool. My name is Evan and I have been climbing trees with ropes for less than a year. Hopefully with time, patience,reading (this forum and my tree climbing books) and training I can be half as good as most of you are. :beerchug:
 
Thank you guys for the welcome. I have already learned a lot from this forum! Darin Turner from Tanager Tree Service referred me to this place so a big thank you to him for that.
 
Hi all!

I'm new here, although I've referenced this place many times.

I live in southeast Nebraska where I am the land manager of s 700 acre nature center. I oversee 500 acres of prairie, the remainder is woodland and wetland. Animals we display: bison, elk, whitetail, snakes, owls, hawks, turtles.

About a year ago I started my own business involving arboriculture and prairie restoration.

I am obsessed with saws, trees, and tree climbing gear.

I look forward to tapping all your knowledge! And perhaps even adding to it!
