The official "Welcome New Members" thread!

Mine, there are a few women out there on Instagram and YT in logging and treework, just wondering if you've seen them and your thoughts on them. Maybe you have some stuff online too?

Hi! I'm Mine, an arborist and logging apprentice of 2.5 years, finishing my education this upcoming christmas.

Some of you might recognise me as Stig's 'logging gal'. Since I'm now a Padawan without a master, I thought I could learn a thing or two from you guys.

Looking forward to following along in your work challenges and maybe asking for inputs and a sanity check from time to time, while my coworker and I try to navigate this new reality of running the business on our own. Wish us luck!

See you around 🌞
Welcome you from Portugal
Maybe I will visit you there one day

Treehouse Blues , can log on Altissimus Tree , Grateful I am but ... cannot log on Altissimus which is the Dave we all know ... just don't feel like myself. Thinking a temporary power of attorney to Carl who could maybe log me in from Central Operations w checkbox stay that way. Passwords aren't working , Carl maybe make new , like "luddite" or "LetMeLogInHouse" Thanks In Advance Dave ...

okay , Lumberjack is on it ... tried to message him response (you know , miss the House Crying Imogi) , guess I'm Spam therefore I Am. No Send. Input is the more desirable and highly missed account user name is straight up "Altissimus" , fly in the oatmeal might be poor misled attempt at update Email ... functional Email is [email protected] , the old Yahoo Email a Stegasourus now . Thanks for the Help in advance , Dave

That’s the email listed on that account. I sent you a new password a day or two ago, did that not work?

Er ah, what happened to @Mine ? I hope it wasn't my gold mine of humor that made her disappear

Im wilson wallace, i live in NC, just learned we have more hardwood species than any other State in the county, most of our trees are super wide canopy. Im not very good at identifying trees yet im trying to get better at that, mostly oaks, maples, hickory/pecan, and the occasional pine or cedar. Just curious about srs stuff since all i know is MRS, i worked for a tree service in my 20's as a ground man and learned basic mrs with blakes hitch climbing, i wasted the next 5 years of my life then had my first kid at 30 and now im 35 with 2 kids working 3 nights a week at a factory and trying to start my own tree service bussiness. I also cut lawns but that isnt my passion its just easy money. I started climbing again abouit 9 months ago and fell in love with it, if my family life would allow it i would go work for a local tree sertvice, but it does not so im stuck "teaching" myself thru resources like this site, another fourm site, youtube, and books. I have read tree climbers companion and to fell a tree (dissapointed in the second one) and recently got The basic fundamentals of tree work which is an amazing one, waaaaaay more helpful than the others. Going to add tree work to my lawncare insurance come march and start putting myself out there more. Most of the jobs ive been doing this year have been for family, and luckily my in laws have a big piece of land i can practice on as well as about 7 rental houses. So any free time i have im doing some kind of "tree work" regardless of if its a paying job or just for "practice".

im sure i will be asking a ton of questions here in the near future, so thanks in advance
