I found this in my garage, going through a 'junk bin' and I think I know what it is, but I will let you guys guess.

Anyway I was thinking this would make an amazing ascender, just make it big enough to handle 11mm rope. Just seems like it would work like a dream, and not tear up the rope like the teeth grabber.

Looks cool. Not midline attachable but definatly a cool idea.

It would definitely be a "one way" elevator till you could get it off the other end of the rope, but super simple and possibly smooth too.
