Coat the beastie in seasoned flour ,brown,then bake @350 1 hour.
Also scored a pile of Shaggy Parasols,(Chlorophyllum rhacodes)
I did'nt do a spore print and they are cooked and in the freezer.
Gotta go back tomorrow and find a mature specimen to print and make sure they're not Chlorophyllum molybdites.
I ate a few mouthfulls so if I'm puking I wont have to go back to find out

Good luck with that! I like 'shrooms, but I prefer to be safe and get mine from Publix.

I had snapping turtle soup before and found it to be very good! The only complaint was that the guy who made it added parsnips(sp). That kinda killed it for me.

shaggy manes are easy to identify. we call em ink caps
