I bit the bullet and bought a Monkey Beaver 2.0 last year, after 38 years of Weaver saddles. It has been good in every way a saddle can be. That said, it's the first rope bridge saddle I've ever owned. The bridge is showing some wear, and I'm contemplating a replacement. I have quite a bit of rope around....likely a half mile of it....and was contemplating what rope night be suitable. Is there a "rule" regarding saddle bridge material?

i use platinum protect from teufelberger.
cover and core are interwoven. but any burly polyester 16 strand will do the job. and when in doubt, for 2€ you get a new one.
