Reccomend a good wine

Some of the lake country wines from northern border of Ohio are pretty good they tell me .I doubt I could tell them from Ripple though .What some call good wine I call vinegar.Pucker power so to speak .--but come to think of it vinegar itself has a bit of pucker power depending on the application .

We have a couple vineyards here, heck one right across the street from me. But so far.. Not happy with the product... Too tanniny for my taste or too sweet. I need to get back into wine again ... I really love wine and really appreciated the tasting as a chef. Trouble is I like it too much and that is not a really good thing .. LOL
