A few of us here watched "The Interview" online the day it was released. I found it to be a great way to watch a new movie on opening day. In this day and age of high tech connectivity, is there a need for movie theaters any more? Just as easy to have friends over to see a new movie as it is to meet them at the theater. Cook your own pop corn. Where's the downside? Unless you own a theater
The Interview was $6.00 which is 1/2 the cost of 1 ticket at a theater. I'd gladly pay $12.00 to see a new movie at home. Movie makers might make less money due to fewer tix sold as multiple people watch on one computer/tv, but perhaps lower distribution and other costs would make up for it. What say you.
