Morbark ChipSafe PPE

Those gapping cuffs on those chip safe gloves baffle me too, when tight fitting cuffed gloves have always been recommended for safety when feeding a chipper. Just hope someone doesn't wear those chip safe gloves with a regular chipper.

Ya, gauntlet style cuffs are a no-no. What about people and their feet? Do they have socks, too?

How often do accidents occur when people use good technique?

A metal detector would be cool on big ass chippers.

Yes, I am compelled to agree and will remember that advice the next time I run a chipper.

Hammer loops on carpenters pants, strong pockets like a car hart coat, etc. Watch out. Keys on bikers on belt loops.

Yes, yes, i agree.

This may help also. I wear nylon stretch woven with elastane jacket with zippered pockets, North Face or Mountain Hardwear and same with pants, Kuhl Destroyr or Raid, nothing dangling, frayed or loose, a lesson learnt quick when one starts to climb trees and work in the bush and besides, cotton becomes heavy when wet and open pockets become catch-all making for PIA when washing.
