ice warriors

my guy called this am and said "if i leave now ill get there about 10" he lives over the hill in calif. so we have another day off

Yeah, it was neato!!!!! Took me 30 min to get in, normaly 10 as well. Roads were slicker than snot!!!
Got there and they were trying to run the forklifts in this crap! They got one stuck, then two others stuck trying to get it out!! That took an hour with my truck. Then another one got stuck at another building. A semi got stuck/jackknifed geting out of one of the buildings. I called the company that was supposed to plow it, "Are you sure you really need it plowed today sir?" I tell them the story, "Yeah, we'll be out in an hour!" Two hours later she calls back, "He's in town plowing, and you are right up on the list and he will get there, as soon as he gets his truck started." Yeah, going well so far!!
So two PALLETS of ice melt later, I got a spreader and hooked it up to the back of a golf cart (don't ask). Then I took a pallet on the forklift and plowed what I could with that.
I called the other place back, four hours later, and told them not to bother!!
I need a drink!!:P

Nowhere near that kinda drama here,I just had to shovel the front stairs, and swept the rear ones. Did sell 2 blowers and, took a parts order. I'm ready to go home. Pretty much stopped snowing here, got a total of around 5" to 6" all together. Sounds like a fun time Andy. :what:
See Ya
Mike

I had my phone, but can't get Motorola phone tools to work with @#$%ING VISTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So no way to load them to the computer!!!! (Can you tell I am happy about that?) @#$%ING MOTOROLA, @#$%ING VISTA!!!!!!

I agree with the Vista thing. I bought a new HP tower, it's been a pain. I was going to get a cord for my phone but not sure if it will work on the new computer. Not sure if any of the cameras will even work. Being computer dumb is one thing, but to be computer dumb with new stuff that no one knows or understands really sucks.
See Ya
Mike

I have some pics of some trees on houses. But cat get THE DAM PICS TO LOAD OFF THE DAM CD!!!

From the way it looks, guess I am another D-@ss in Kansas

Jeff- My newest camera doesn't have any readily identifiable link for transferring pictures to my computer either. I pretty much have to right-click on the picture, hit 'cut' (or 'copy') and then go to my pictures file on my computer and paste the image there.

Well made it back at least for a couple days. Heading back out tomorrow. Jeff we are working up in your neck of the woods west of Fort Riley.

Wow only about 4500 posts to catch up on. Sorry no pictures forgot the camera, I'll try and remember it tomorrow and get a few pictures at least.
All I know is I am wore out, but all is good....

Well I'm out of here (again), be back in a few days maybe. Anyway I'll have to catch up later catch you all on the flip side....:big-wave:

We got around 2" of snow last night, temps in the teens. Wrecks everywhere, all schools closed. I don't remember them closing school when I was kid for 2" of snow. Then again it could be closed because of the cold temps.

for a school close I remember 6" being a milestone.... maybe my remembery is gone silly....

well it doesnt take much snow or ice here to make driving very sketchy, guess the rules have tightened up a bit over the years.

gall darned lawyers...

I can tell ya 6"s doesn't close any schools here. As a matter of fact I don't recall school ever being closed/cancelled due to snow. We're prepared for it here though not like you coasties.:P

Sorry I missed this post. Where you in Junction City? W
ould have liked to have stopped to say hi.

Jeff we are working just north of Junction City will be back up there tomorrow afternoon. Wakefield is the name of the town. How are things going in your neck of the woods, things getting back to normal in Manhattan or is it still a mess.

I believe the city of Mahattan will take just short of FOREVER picking up the curb side debris. Dave I will be leaving Manhattan tomorrow back on wen.
