I just read an article about a dude in Detroit that had his hands and feet chewed off by pit bulls. They had to wait for the cops because no one had a gun and could not get the dogs off.

No one could come up with steak knives, a baseball bat, or a golf club? I don't need a gun to save another mans life if the threat itself doesn't have a gun. Ill use any weapon of opportunity.

Any dog that wears a collar is easy to strangle.
I've done that a couple of times to beak up fights.

Once I was lucky and got a grip on both collars,twisted them till the dogs dropped, held on a few more seconds and let go.
Both dogs woke up, looked at each other in a dazed way and staggered off.
Fight over.
Nother time I was less lucky and managed to choke one out while the other went to town on my arm untill I got a good kick in.

This woman came up with a good one. Don't think I'd work on a pack of pit bulls though.
