I have really liked having mine and why I recommend the stiff step. Just stays on the foot with out any hassle. Screwing around with a foot loop on long ascents is aggravating. Just have to have a show with an instep to help with the lump. I would imagine the stiff insert could be removed if it was too uncomfortable for some. Just have not tried it yet.
