Cut and lower today "non-critical situation"

So we had some pretty strong winds along lake Superior this past week. Noticed this red pine had given up on her roots and was leaning in an adjacent tree. The property managers were concerned about their fence and tennis courts below. . .

I had a pull line set on the tow hooks of an off camera truck also, to give a little tug if it hung too bad. As it happened it just rolled out and settled in the rigging line as gentle as could be. There was some weight there. . .

I used a X-Rigging ring as the terminal. I know you're not supposed to, but I can't see why. . . Rope angles weren't going to be super sharp. Worked like a champ.

ETA. Found Chewbaka in the bottom of my Cheerios box today :)

haha, thanks Butch. It's about to get colder, we've got big snow coming this weekend. . .
 
Those pics made me depressed. It'll look like that here in another 6 weeks or so.

things have since deteriorated. It's now 11 degrees with heavy lake effect. Winter has arrived on Lake Superior, coming soon to an area near you. :evil:
